Jabal Omar Development Company and H Hospitality Collection, the hotel management company of Abu Dhabi Capital Group, have entered an agreement to manage a new five-star hotel development in Makkah.

This marks H Hospitality Collection debut in the Kingdom, and it will manage the hotel which will have 650 rooms, three restaurants, lounge, café, meeting rooms and a gymnasium. 

The hotel is due to welcome its first guests by the beginning of 2020 and is part of the Jabal Omar mega-development, with a total built-up area of over 2 million square metres, featuring residences, hotels, malls, retails amenities, prayer areas and other facilities.

H Hospitality Collection chairman Fadel Al Ali said in a statement: “We are delighted with this new project that perfectly complements our expansion strategy across the Middle East. Saudi Arabia has always been one of our key destinations, and we wanted to expand our operations in the Kingdom with a reputable partner in a premium location.”

It is hoped that the hotel and its offerings will appeal to visitors from across both the GCC and the Islamic world, according to Jabal Omar Development Company CEO Yaser F. Al-Sharif, who said: “We are privileged to partner with Abu Dhabi Capital Group, one of the most distinguished organisations that is expanding the footprint of its H Hospitality Collection in Saudi Arabia. The agreement marks the importance they place in operating their first hotel project in the holy city of Makkah.
