Riyadh doctor saves pilgrims' life 900 km away in Makkah

Great distances between a specialist doctor residing in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and the holy city of Makkah, did not prevent him from saving the life of an elderly woman who suffered a stroke inside the Grand Mosque while performing the all-year pilgrimage known as Umrah on Tuesday 12 March.

1.3m iftar meals handed at Prophet Mosque

Licensed food providers have served nearly 1.3 million iftar (fast-ending) meals to worshippers at Prophet Mohammed’s Mosque in the Saudi city of Medina during the first 10 days of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan that commenced in early April, Saudi news agency SSPA has reported.
