Over 500-year old heritage fortress unearthed in Jeddah

The archaeological site, called Al-Shouna Heritage Fortress, which dates back to 1516, was discovered during the demolition of random buildings, located near Qabil Street and next to Al-Dhahab Street in Balad area, one of the historical traditional markets in Jeddah, according to the Saudi Television Channel 1.

SR25,000 fine for overstaying Hajj and Umrah visas

Hajj and Umrah service providers will be slapped with a fine of SR25,000 for every pilgrim overstaying in the Kingdom after the expiry of their visas, according to the spokesman for the directorate of passports (Jawazat) in Makkah.

Grand Mosque receives over 150,000 copies of Holy Qur’an

The Guidance and Call Affairs Agency at the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, represented by the Holy Qur’an Administration, has provided the shelves with 150,000 new copies of the Holy Qur’an from the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an for visitors of the Grand Mosque.
